Your mat waits for home practice

If you printed and practiced the sequences I posted last week, BRAVO! Your daily home practice has begun!!

If you are still feeling overwhelmed and over scheduled then I challenge you to get on your mat at least once a day and practice for JUST. FIVE. MINUTES.

Here are three very short sequences. Pick the one that matches the time of day you are stepping on your mat. Click the links to see a picture of the pose. Print and post this page in your practice space. Don’t over think this. Just do it!

Morning
Adho Mukha Virasana – Downward Facing Hero Pose
Adho Mukha Svanasana – Downward Facing Dog Pose
Uttanasana – Standing Forward Bend
Urdhva Hastasana in Tadasana – Upward Arms in Mountain Pose
Tadasana – Mountain Pose
Urdhva Baddanguliyasana in Tadasana – Upward Bound Fingers in Mountain Pose
Tadasana – Mountain Pose

Evening/After Work
Supta Baddha Konasana
Don’t worry about all the props. Just lay down on a couple of blankets or pillows so you can get a nice open feeling in your chest. Tuck your shoulder blades in and down.

Before Bed
You can even do these IN bed!
Parsva Bharadvajasana I – Twist laying over bolster, blankets, or pillows
Adho Mukha Virasana – Laying over bolster, blankets, or pillows

And IF you find yourself with more time, print one of the home practice sequences and get on your mat. Don’t worry about whether you are doing each pose “right”. Find the basic shape and listen to your body. It will be your guide.
